YP Connect
Hey Pharmily!
Have you heard about YPConnect? If you haven't, you're missing out! YPConnect is an amazing program by the NUS and the PSS Young Pharmacist Chapter that pairs us pharmacy students with experienced pharmacists. It's all about learning from the best, getting career advice, and making some awesome connections. We’ve had two super exciting sessions so far, and there's one more to go. Let me give you the scoop on what’s happened and why you should join next time!
Session 1
Our 1st F2F Befriending session in February set the stage for an exciting journey of mentorship. The main objective was to introduce the mentees to a group of mentors (alumni), allowing us to find the perfect mentors to guide them in their careers. After the introductions and initial conversations, the mentees were given the opportunity to select their preferred mentors based on short resumes and their indicated preferences. This process ensured the mentees could find a mentor whose experience aligned with their aspirations, paving the way for meaningful relationships and valuable insights into the world of pharmacy.
Session 2
On June 8, 2024, we had our second session, and we met at MacRitchie Reservoir and headed to Lower Pierce Reservoir Park! This session was all about getting deeper into our areas of interest and building stronger bonds with our mentors and fellow students. We kicked things off with a fun-filled hike that was part "Amazing Race," part picnic.

Looking Ahead: The Grand Finale
The grand finale is set for August, and it promises to be the best session yet! Expect more interactive activities, insightful discussions, and a chance to solidify those valuable connections we’ve made.
