Scheele House arrives in the nick of time to save Scheelens with SchnackGo — a cozy gathering for all Scheelens (students and faculty alike) to swing by and recover from the midterm slog. The famished crowd feasted to their hearts’ content on a decadent, heart-stopping spread of pizza and Wingstop — all under the watchful eye of Prof. Doreen, of course!

Aside from providing a brief respite from the semester’s woes, SchnackGo was also an opportunity for seniors to help ease the new Year 1s into the hectic pace of university life. While savouring their yummy treats, unsuspecting Scheelens found themselves thrust into a classic icebreaker game of Bingo, cleverly loaded with interesting conversation starters by the organizers. Soon enough, the room was rife with chatter as Scheelens rushed to fill their Bingo sheets and get comfortable with one another. Seniors took the chance to share nuggets of advice with juniors, guiding them through their first steps and clearing up any uncertainties about their first year. To end the afternoon, a lucky draw was held. Palpable excitement filled the room as the lucky draw winners were announced, wrapping up the event on a high note.

All in all, SchnackGo was a resounding success, with juniors feeling more supported and reassured, while seniors found joy in reconnecting and giving back to the next generation of Scheelens. For a few short hours, all academic worries were put on hold as the tiny space of S16 03-07 was imbued with hearty laughter, radiant warmth and renewed energy. Indeed, Scheele House saves the day yet again!
