Learning Other Languages (LOL) 2023 is an Inter-Professional Education project organized by NUS Pharmaceutical Society for Pharmacy, Nursing, Dentistry, Social Work, and Medicine students. The core objective of LOL 2023 is to equip healthcare students with basic conversational skills and medical related vocabularies in Malay, Mandarin, Tamil, Hokkien and Cantonese. Such language skills will be especially useful when conversing and building rapport with elderly and/or patients who only speak these languages. LOL 2023 also aims to provide a platform for students from different faculties and disciplines to interact with one another during the highly interactive lessons and forge inter-healthcare ties.
