WARNING: Don’t accept treats from strangers in trucks.
But what if…it’s acai from a friend?

On 15 March, the NUSPS Welfare Committee collaborated with The Açai Truck to bring Açai bowls closer to students, at the LT27 Foyer. Through this event, students were able to enjoy a moment of respite from their midterms and submissions by enjoying a tasty treat for free! Students were able to make DIY Açai bowls together with their friends using the fresh ingredients prepared by The Açai Truck. Many students were pleased by the large variety of ingredients provided, which they could add to their Açai bowls to make the perfect Açai bowl.

Additionally, students were also able to write letters to their friends and other fellow students to encourage them during the busy period. This simple yet thoughtful gesture was a good way for students to spend quality time and make new memories with their friends, as well as receive some much needed encouragement.

“The acai is freshly prepared, there are a variety of ingredients to add and they were delicious. Having free acai with their friends in school after a tiring lesson is a treat!” - one of the participants

Acai this time, I wonder what could be next? Wait till next time when welfare returns with another treat for our hungry pharmers!
