Who Are We?

Our house is named after Carl Wilhelm Scheele, a prominent Swedish-German pharmaceutical chemist! He lived from 1742 to 1786. He was the first person to prepare oxygen and describe its crucial properties. He also uncovered the identities of molybdenum, tungsten, barium, hydrogen, and chlorine, among others.
Fun fact: The colour Scheele's Green is named after him, but our house's colour is black!


Our Events

  • Schcyling With Flends

    Schycling with Flends is a Scheele x Fleming House Event which aimed to introduce the freshmen to their respective houses and for them to bond with their house-mates. Additionally, the event provided an avenue for students to de-stress, promote house bonding between students of the Scheele and Fleming House and to galvanise stronger house identity and spirit between the two houses.

  • Ice Schream

    Ice Schream was a delightful event that brought Scheelens together for a memorable bonding experience. In pairs, participants crafted their own ice cream, with the guidance of our HC members at the ingredients station. After preparing their homemade ice cream, everyone had a blast shaking it in a bag of ice, followed by adding their choice of toppings.

  • Shoremates

    Shoremates was a 4-week long event where scheelens of different batches were partnered up to do challenges. It aims to facilitate interaction between Scheele House members regardless of seniority or cliques and to serve as a platform for Scheele House members to forge new friendships with their fellow house members.
