International Relations Committee

NUSPS International Relations Committee (IRC) was proud to represent Singapore Pharmacy students in IPSF (International Pharmaceutical Students Federation) for the Asia-Pacific Pharmaceutical Symposium (APPS) 2023, held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. APPS was an annual congress for pharmaceutical students in the Asia Pacific region, organized by the IPSF Asian Pacific Regional Office (APRO), which hosted up to 400 participants from about 20 countries in the region to engage in workshops and pharmacy skills competitions. The theme for this symposium was “The Role of Pharmacist in Implementing SDGs After The Pandemic and More”, which covered a pharmacist’s role in environmental sustainability, tackling health inequities in Asia Pacific and beyond, as well as living the post-pandemic life and what we can do to help. Through the various social events such as the international night, this multi-national event fostered many international relationships between participants from different schools around the region and facilitate sharing of different cultures and values.

IRC presented NUSPS annual report to the regional assembly to showcase what we have done in the year. In addition, we participated in competitions and workshops to learn more about the pharmacy landscape.
