Pharmacy Flag (RxFlag) serves as the volunteering wing of the NUS Pharmacy Freshman Orientation Programme, providing an avenue for students in our faculty to give back to the community through our partnerships with external beneficiaries and bond with one another in the process. In RxFlag, we organise activities to directly engage our beneficiary and raise funds for Community Chest through the annual Flag Day

In recent years, our journey has been with Life Community Services Society (LCSS), where we strive to positively impact the growing years of youth and children from less privileged backgrounds through activities promoting their holistic development.



Who are we?

Our Events

  • Long Term Engagement (LTE)

    RxFlag’s LTE takes the form of a Penpalship Programme, during which volunteers engage in writing and exchanging letters with the children at LCSS over a month, and meeting them in person in a final session to bond over games as well as helping the children develop their language and writing abilities in a meaningful and engaging way.

  • Summer Beneficiary Activities (SBA)

    Throughout the Summer Break, RxFlag conducts ad-hoc engagement sessions for the children at LCSS across their various centres. Through activities such as arts and crafts sessions and science lessons to educational games, volunteers engage the children at LCSS holistically and teach them more about science and healthcare.

  • Flag Day


    Flag Day is RxFlag’s annual flagship event:

    As RxFlag, volunteers represent NUS Pharmacy and hit the streets of Singapore to raise donations from the general public.

    Funds raised go towards Community Chest, and will be disbursed to the various beneficiaries, including LCSS.
