Freshmen Orientation Programme Freshmen Orientation Programme in NUSPS consists of three special projects which are RxFlag, Rxag as well as POP respectively. These FOP events serve to ease freshmen into university life and help them make their first group of friends. It is where freshmen will be warmly introduced to the Pharmily here in NUS. Pharmacy Orientation Programme The Pharmacy orientation Programme is a hallmark for every Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Science freshmen entering into university! Through various camps and activities organised, this is how they get to know their way around school, forge lifelong friendships, or just get together for a spectacular time. Our project this year consists of three activities from the June period to early August. They are Pharmacy Orientation Camp (POC), Rocket Fuel, and Pharmacy Orientation Week (POW). Pharmacy RXFLAG Pharmacy Flag (RxFlag), is part of the Rag and Flag Freshmen Orientation Project, whereby students are provided with opportunities to give back to the community through partnership and engagement with beneficiaries. We also conduct fundraising via online donation drives and in-person efforts on Flag Day and Flag Carnival. This year, we extended our partnership with our previous beneficiary, Life Community Services Society (LCSS) and conducted the following engagement activities. Pharmacy RXAG Freshmen dancers were split into three items offering different choreohraphies (Street Jazz, Open Choreography and Contemporary). The finale, which everyone was involved in, was done in an Open Choreography style. Dancers attended dance sessions 3-4 times a week to perfect the choreography in preparation for our live act on 12th August. Freshmen who signed up for costumes did basic sewing, and creatively added flair to the aesthetics, decorating the costumes with embellishments, as well as handling the make- up, body paint and hairdo for the performers. Freshmen floaters were engaged in building and painting magnificent structures and 3D props, experimenting different mechanisms on the floats that added vibrancy to the performance on stage.
