The Pheauture Starts Now

Passion meets purpose in Pheauture 2025 — this year’s edition of the flagship Pharmaceutical Career Fair!

It’s hard being a university student. Apart from the constant struggle for grades, there’s always the lingering worry about what comes after graduation. What do I want to do? What options are there? Who’s hiring? Held on 22 October, Pheauture 2025 aimed to answer all these questions — and more

Bringing together leaders and professionals from major pharmaceutical firms, hospitals, and regulatory bodies, the career fair offered students a rare insight into the wide range of career pathways within the biomedical industry. Whether one’s interest lies in research, regulation, clinical practice, or even business development, there was something for everyone.

A highlight of the event was its impressive lineup of speakers, whose diverse experiences reflected the many paths one could take in the pharmaceutical field. For those drawn to clinical work, pharmacists and laboratory scientists from Alexandra Hospital, National University Hospital (NUH), SingHealth, and the National Healthcare Group (NHG) shared their experiences in clinical practice, patient care, leadership, innovation, and education. NUH representatives also introduced various funding and development programmes available to students.

Experts from the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) were also present to provide an inside look at the regulatory decision-making and cutting-edge analytical science that goes into ensuring the safety and efficacy of healthcare products in Singapore. Students curious about the commercial and strategic side of the industry also benefited from the insights of Ms Michelle Teo (Global Vice President at DKSH Healthcare) and Ms Evelyn Pang (General Manager at Moderna).

Beyond the presentations, participants had the opportunity to network with recruiters and representatives from leading pharmaceutical and healthcare institutions. Many students engaged in candid conversations with these professionals, gaining practical advice on career growth, emerging roles, and most importantly, internship and sponsorship opportunities.

As Pheauture 2025 drew to a close, participants left the Medicine+Science Library with new connections and a clearer sense of direction. We hope that hearing directly from those in the industry gave everyone the clarity and confidence to chart their own journey and shape the pheauture of healthcare. For those who missed this year’s edition of the Pharmaceutical Career Fair, be sure to join us again next year!
