Pasteur DIY Night
Participants left with an adorable piece of work and an unforgettable good time.
On the night of 19th October, TBLs, SJPs, Owlets, and members from other houses came together to get their hands dirty with number painting and bracelet-making kits. For many, it's been ages since doing anything crafty, and what better time to re-awaken that inner child than now? After a long and tiring week of being a diligent and studious Uni student (sigh)...It’s a nice change of pace don’t you think?
Seriously, who knew 20-year-olds could find activities meant for ages 3+ this much fun? Most participants went right off the rails on the painting kits. Nobody was gonna let a bunch of numbers stop their imagination from running wild. If you couldn’t feel the enthusiasm from the atmosphere that night, you could certainly tell from that.
Participants described the vibes there to be carefree. Imagine being in kindergarten again, nothing matters, you’re just wondering whether a carrot would be cute on the rabbit’s head. You decide to do it, it’s so silly, but oh well! Your friend looks over and sees, he smiles, and you laugh. It’s hard not to feel liberated. Everyone’s having so much fun just in their own world, it’s infectious.
When else could you get the chance to enjoy a carefree night of creating fond memories? For most people, that’s NOW, in our school days. Those opportunities are few and far between out in the working world. Look out for more house events in the future! You wouldn’t want to miss out.
