Galen by the Bay
Galenites gather at Gardens by the Bay to kick off the new year with an evening of pizza and games!
This year might not be the Year of the Ram, but when has that ever stopped Galen House from rallying Galenties for an evening of their own? On 23 January at Gardens by the Bay, Galenites gathered for the first House welfare event of the year to enjoy a breezy, relaxed night of food, games, and lively conversation.
Galenites came together for an evening of food, fun, and laughter.
The event began simply enough, with picnic mats laid out on the lush green grass and a friendly game of Uno that quickly broke the ice. Before long, a sumptuous spread of chips, pizza, and Wingstop arrived. With food in hand, conversations flowed easily as everyone bonded over shared interests in K-dramas, C-dramas, and comics.
A mouth-watering spread to fuel an evening of conversation.
Senior Galenites also took the opportunity to share advice with their juniors about the upcoming semester, offering insights on modules and workload they had once navigated themselves. From previews of course content to managing assignments, these conversations gave juniors a glimpse of what lay ahead, while reminding seniors of how far they have come.
In fact, they were so engrossed in their conversations that they did not notice the Supertree Grove light show beginning. When the music started playing, it caught the group by surprise, drawing laughter at how startled they all were.
As lights illuminated the Supertrees above, Galen by the Bay came to a close – the perfect start to the new semester, filled with friendships, laughter, and Galenites ramming their way into the semester together.
