The purpose of the Yong-En Volunteering Event is to provide befriending and Psycho-education on ‘Eating Right’ for elderly and low-income families living in the rental flats at Jalan Kukoh. Participants would need to call up their beneficiaries (provided by Yong En Care Centre) to inform them about the actual home visit day which took place on 22 February 2023 from 2pm - 4pm. This will enable them to warm up and build rapport with elderly and low-income families through self-introduction and explaining the purpose of visit. Participants then got to interact with the beneficiaries face-to-face and managed to impart a few healthy eating habits and tips to the elderly and low-income families.
