PPAC
SCI-PhI/PECT Sharing is an informative session held by the Pharmacy Profession Awareness Committee to allow students to find out more about their upcoming SCI-PhI projects and PECT internships through a sharing by Year 3 and/or Year 4 students about their respective experiences. The session started off with an introductory briefing on SCI-PhI and PECT, where the different activities of PECT and SCI-PhI as well as its structure was introduced to participants. This was followed by a sharing by the PECT speakers to introduce themselves. A brief introduction of the SCI-PhI speakers was done by the PPAC facilitator. Afterwards, students were formed into groups to have fireside chats with the speakers. The speakers were split into their various roles of PECT and SCI-Phi (dry and wet lab, external and internal advisor) for this segment. The allocation of groups to speakers was through an interactive choice board ‘Inkle Writer’, where the groups’ ending would determine the first speakers allocated to their group on a first-come-first-serve basis. In the fireside chat segment, students were able to ask questions to find out more about the speakers’ experiences for 10 minutes, before rotating the speakers around to allow the students to interact with all the various speakers for a comprehensive understanding of the various roles.
