International Relations Committee

This year for Pharmandarin, we had the successful participation of eight students from the NUSPS in a remarkable international collaboration. Our students had the incredible opportunity to travel to Taiwan, where they engaged in cross-cultural exchanges, forged new friendships, and enriched their understanding of the pharmaceutical industry. In order to provide a bilingual and international platform for native Mandarin speakers, PSA-Taiwan collaborated with MyPSA, NUSPS, and PSAHK and held the first Pharmandarin, an unique Mandarin-themed pharmacy event in 2018.

The participation of NUSPS students in Pharmandarin 2023 was a significant milestone for our organisation, as it further strengthened our ties with pharmaceutical societies from mandarin-speaking countries, including Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. It was the first physical Pharmandarin held since 2018. The event provided a unique platform for our students to immerse themselves in a multicultural environment, embracing diverse perspectives and cultural nuances. Through engaging in various activities meticulously organized by PSA-Taiwan, our students gained valuable insights into the pharmacy working environment, the role of clinical pharmacists, and current and future developments in the pharmaceutical industry.
