Who are we?
Singapore Youth Corps (Youth Expedition Project) is an organisation that aims to nurture youths in areas such as leadership and character through sustainable service-learning and cultural exchanges in their respective host countries and locally in Singapore. Under SYC, YEP DAD aims to align to their vision and execute the project while empowering youths and strengthening values through service-learning in Singapore and overseas communities, not forgetting forging unforgettable memories and friendships along the way.
Overseas service-learning is not an opportunity that comes by frequently, and what better and meaningful way is there to spend your holidays in a foreign place to foster new memories and experiences? Apart from preparing and executing an overseas service-learning and exchange, do also look out for valuable activities done locally to support our local population, such as the elderly or the less fortunate.
Events
-
The most anticipated part of being part of the YEP DAD committee involves going overseas to Lombok, Indonesia for 10-14 days to carry out a series of planned activities, including but not limited to: village homestay, educational lessons and cultural exchange with the community, host and partners.
-
Partnering with SYC, we aim to support our local groups such as the elderly, children, less fortunate or even the environment through activities such as beach clean-up programmes. It is with similar shared values and goals that drive our actions in contributing in these areas and thinking about the greater good in the local context.
