IPSF Student Exchange Programme
Here’s what you need to know about the International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation’s (IPSF) Student Exchange Programme (SEP), from someone who has experienced it firsthand.
1. Where did you go for your SEP?
I did my SEP in Adelaide, Australia. For IPSF exchange programmes, completing mods is not required. I spent my time working at a community pharmacy.
2. Why did you choose to go on an exchange program?
I wanted to broaden my horizons through experiencing pharmacy practice overseas.
5. Can you share some advice to your juniors looking to go on an exchange? Any tips for them when it comes to making the most out of the experience?
Your experience is defined by you; get involved and work towards contributing to the daily operations of the pharmacy. Be curious and ask questions. See if you can spot useful features or practices in their pharmacies which you can use to enhance pharmacy practice in Singapore.
Well, you’ve heard from Santosh. The IPSF SEP is a great opportunity for us students to venture out and expand our horizons. If you don’t have anything planned this winter, consider applying for this programme! Not only will you be able to learn more about pharm for the programme, but I’m sure it’ll definitely add colour to and enrich your university life.
